DR. B'S DIAGNOSIS


Chiari I Malformation with 22mm of tonsillar herniation, Retroflexed Odontiod, Basilar Impression, Severe Brainstem elongation (67mm), highly suggestive of tethered cord, occult variant. RECOMMENDATION: Invasive Cervical Traction, Posterior Fossa Decompression followed 1-3 months later by a section of the filum terminale to address the teth cord; will watch for craniocervical instability, possible craniocervical fusion in extraction CCF at a later date.
